After the COVID-19 pandemic, many women began staying home more often or placing greater importance on their time at home. In this shift, it’s not uncommon for going out or dressing up to feel like a burden. But this is precisely why I want women to have something that reignites their spark, a "key" to help them shine as themselves once again.

I want the bags I design to serve as that catalyst, inspiring women to step out into the world and embrace their individuality with confidence and joy.

When I was a child, my mother was someone who never forgot to be herself, even as she balanced housework and a career. Despite her busy days, she never compromised on her personal style and took pride in her fashion choices. Watching her dress elegantly, do her makeup, and step out with confidence, I realized at a young age that "fashion" is more than just clothing. It is a powerful tool for expressing individuality and designing one's own life.

However, when I look at modern society, I see that while progress has been made toward gender equality worldwide, many challenges remain. Even in Japan, women who aspire to work and shine in society are often met with environments that don't fully support their ambitions. Issues like childcare, household responsibilities, workplace barriers, and economic disparities stand in the way of their goals.

Moreover, with rising costs of living and a growing wealth gap, access to luxury bags and high-end items has become increasingly limited to a select few. Yet, even in such circumstances, I don't want women to give up the joy of embracing fashion. Fashion is not just about appearance—it has the power to instill confidence and affirm one's sense of self. My passion to deliver that power to more women has been my driving force from the very beginning.
